STRYPER Frontman Schedules Acoustic Performance At Massachusetts Church
March 30, 2007On Saturday, April 14, 2007, STRYPER frontman Michael Sweet will perform an intimate acoustic set at the West Hall at The United Methodist Church (523 Main Street) in Woburn, MA. Special guests for the April 14 performance include the acoustic duo of Scotty Dunbar and Rob Wylde. Tickets are only $10.00 (each) in advance and $12.00 at the door. As a member of STRYPER for more than 20 years, Sweet has enjoyed success in both Christian and mainstream markets. STRYPER has sold more than 8 million records worldwide, had numerous Top 40 singles and enjoyed great success on MTV. In January of 1992, the band went its separate ways. Sweet went on to release five successful solo albums. In 2003, STRYPER reformed and released a greatest-hits album, titled "Seven - The Best of Stryper", on Hollywood Records. The band's subsequent tour in support of "Seven" was extremely successful on all accounts, selling out venues across America. In August of 2005, STRYPER went on to release its first full-length studio album in nearly 15 years, "Reborn", on Big 3 Records. The band went on to tour worldwide in support of the album's release. In the summer of 2006, Sweet released a contemporary worship album, "HIM". Since the album's release, Sweet has gone on to perform numerous solo acoustic shows and made several guest appearances on the TBN network.
